Hackathon Projects

HydroStat:

HydroStat was a group project designed for the 2020-2021 SHAD Design Challenge. This video and design was made in less than 24h. I was responsible for the 3D modeling/design, the animation, and video editing. HydroStat monitors, conserves, and connects; all in one simple to use, cross-platform app. HydroStat can track your water usage by simply attaching a system of interconnected modules to water-using appliances, all easily monitored from your phone.

RFIDBLS:

Radio Frequency Identification Based Locating System or RFIDBLS is a project I developed to tackle the issue of people forgetting important things when leaving their house's. I used circuitry and electronics that communicate with each other to sense if a person has left without a necessary object. It will then tell you what you are missing through the use of a speaker.

UTD:

Universal Translating Device or UTD is a device that has several buttons, each connected with a common phrase in the English language. Depending on the language selected, it will send a string to google translate's databases, converting it to another language. Afterwards, this string is sent to an Arduino which displays it on an LCD screen as well as through a speaker using text to voice. There is a toggle page button, so there can be hundreds of phrases saved into the device.

Curator:

Curator meaning guardian, overseer; is a presentation me and a group of friends made at the Hamilton hackathon. It talks about topics surrounding the improvements in modern spacesuits.
